Microsoft said Monday that it will make a hardware update for the PS4 console.
The company did not provide any details about what that update would be, but said that the update would include new versions of the software and hardware drivers for the new console.
A similar update was announced in September for Xbox One hardware, and that version of Microsoft’s software and driver suite will be available for both platforms.
Microsoft’s new hardware update will not be for the Xbox One.
Instead, Microsoft said that it would include updates for other Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware.
The PlayStation 4 update will likely come in the form of an update to Microsoft’s own operating system, according to people familiar with the matter.
